 Celebrating the 100th anniversary of Max Weber’s “Science as a Vocation”

 The Russian Society for History and Philosophy of Science and the journal “Epistemology & Philosophy of Science” announce a contest among young researchers, graduate and undergraduate students and call for papers directly or indirectly related to Max Weber’s seminal “Science as a Vocation”.

 The winners will be announced in four nominations:

 – epistemology

– history of science

– ethics of science

– sociology of science and scientific knowledge

 Three prizes will be given in each nomination:

 1st prize: 50,000 rubles and a certificate

2nd prize: 20,000 rubles and a certificate

3rd prize: a certificate

 All winning papers will be published in “Epistemology & Philosophy of Science”

 The age of participants must be less than 40 years on May 14, 2019. No restrictions by citizenship or affiliation of participants, as well as by their gender, sexual orientation, political or religious views apply.

 All participating papers must be formatted according to the guidelines of “Epistemology & Philosophy of Science” (http://journal.iph.ras.ru/contribute) and sent to journal@iph.ras.ru. The subject of the email must say “Contest 2019”.

 Submission deadline: April 15, 2019

The winners will be announced on May 14, 2019
